New Weave

New Weave is a music performance concept developed by Sébastien Piquemal and Miki Brunou that aims at engaging the audience by using their personal devices (smartphones, laptops etc.). Any audience member can join by simply connecting to a website, where they can record and send audio samples to be tweaked by the performers.
As the concert starts, the piece is nothing but a blank setup. Only when the first samples are sent by the participants can the performers start to play, improvising with the audio signals they’re receiving. A fragile equilibrium emerges, held together with glitchy rhythms and deep pulsating pads.
