PPLATS #1 SAARI
PPLATS is an alternative online encyclopedia about places created by the artist-curator Nayab Ikram (AX) and the graphic designer Fredrik Enges (AX). The alternative encyclopedia collects material from individuals and collectives with an artistic, academic or historical perspective to name a few.
The first issue covers the island as a place and was launched in autumn 2018. The launch was held in Turku together with the exhibition PPLATS #1, at the Photographic Centre Peri. On the Åland Islands the launch was held together with the pop-up exhibition PPLATS #1 Ö, In Mariehamn.
