Feuerbach-teesit
Filosofi ja kirjailija Karl Marx kirjoitti vuonna 1845 äkäiset Feuerbach-teesit, joissa hän pohti uuden ja vanhan materialismin eroja sekä loi pohjan tulevalle ajattelulleen. Hän kirjoitti, että ”Filosofit ovat vain eri tavoin selittäneet maailmaa, mutta tehtävänä on sen muuttaminen.”
Nyt Feuerbach-teesit -esityksessä puretaan kappaleiksi vanhat teesit, jotka yllyttivät jo aikoinaan liikkeelle lähtemiseen ja tilan muuttamiseen – eli tanssimiseen. Lavalla esitystaiteilijat ammentavat kirjallisuudesta kuvataiteilijoiden luomissa puitteissa. Liikkeelle lähdetään kehosta ajan dokumenttina, pakottavasta voimasta tilanteessa, jossa maailman selittäminen ja tarkasteleminen ulkopuolelta ei enää riitä. Teos on Marxia ilman marxismia.
Musiikin teoksessa esittävät freejazz-saksofonisti Viljami Hukka, hardcorepunk-rumpali Heikki Romppainen ja äänisuunnittelija-kitaristi Jarkko Kela. Teoksessa liikkuvat esitystaitelijat Sanni Priha ja Sini Silveri. Lavalla ovat myös kuvataiteilijoiden Kati Silon (puvustus) ja Elina Vainion (lavastus) maailma: pöly, sähkö ja PVC.

The Feuerbach Theses
In 1845, philosopher and writer Karl Marx wrote his acerbic Theses on Feuerbach, a reflection on the differences between old and new forms of materialism that was to lay the foundation for his later thought. Marx wrote: ”Philosophers have only interpreted the world in various ways; the point is to change it.”
Now the performance piece The Feuerbach Theses dismantles the old theses that already in their time encouraged people to move and to change space – to dance, that is. Onstage, performing artists inspired by literature move in a setting created by visual artists. The starting point is the body as a document of time, and the compelling force of a situation where explaining the world and observing it from outside will no longer suffice. The piece is Marx without Marxism.
The music in the piece will be performed by free jazz saxophonist Viljami Hukka, hardcore punk drummer Heikki Romppainen and sound designer-guitarist Jarkko Kela. The performing artists in motion are Sanni Priha and Sini Silveri. Onstage will also be a world of dust, electricity and PVC created by visual artists Kati Silo (costumes) and Elina Vainio (set design).
