Games, Caprices, Signs, Silences, Sounds, and Messages
At 19.00
The performance celebrates Hungarian composer György Kurtág, who turned 100 a few months ago.
His solo violin cycle, “Games, Signs, and Messages,” will be combined with recently and specially written works by two Ukrainian composers, Maxym Ivanov and Mykhailo Chedryk.
In a sequence of 54 miniatures, the concert will explore the state of intraverted musicmaking. Short gestures, attentive resonances, connected silences.
Program:
György Kurtág. Games, Signs, and Messages (1989–2004)
Maxym Ivanov. 17 Little Caprices (2024-2026)
Maxym Ivanov. Hommage à György Kurtág (2026)
