Taideyliopiston opiskelijoiden esityksiä Vapaan taiteen tilan pop upissa!
Taideyliopiston opiskelijoiden taide valtaa kesällä jo toista kertaa Kallion kesäkadut. Luvassa on musiikkia, katuteatteria, performansseja sekä veistoksia. Tänä kesänä pop up ajoittuu kahteen eri ajankohtaan: Helsinki-päivään 12.6. sekä pidempään pop up viikkoon 10-16.8. Helsinki-päivänä 12.6. aukeaa myös The Street -näyttely Kallion kesäkaduille osana pop upin ohjelmistoa. Kallion kesäkaduilta on löydettävissä myös musiikkikuula, jossa soi pop upin esiintyjien musiikkia. Musiikkikuulassa soi Amifbi, Orke Ensemble, RÄKÄlicious, SERITA sekä TATAKI.
Helsinki-päivä 12.6.
Helsinki-päivänä Vapaan taiteen tila pop up polkaistaan käyntiin sekä Kallion kesäkadut avataan. Helsinki-päivänä aukeaa The Street -näyttely, joka tuo useita erittäin kiinnostavia veistoksia sekä performansseja osaksi julkista katutilaa.
Lisäksi klo 18 eteenpäin Karhupuiston lavalla nähdään livemusiikkia, kun esiintymään pääsevät RÄKÄlicious, SERITA, Amfibi sekä Uppanissalusnom joka on osa The Street -näyttelyä.
Pop up viikko 10-16.8.:
Pop up viikko järjestetään 10-16.8., jolloin luvassa on Pimeä kaupunki -katuteatteriesityksiä sekä la 15.8. lisää musiikkia Karhupuistossa. Esiintymisvuorossa silloin ovat RÄKÄlicious, TATAKI sekä Orke Ensemble. Tämän lisäksi The Street-näyttely on edelleen nähtävissä.
The Street-näyttely:
The Street-näyttely koostuu Taideyliopiston opiskelijoiden tuottamista teoksista Kallion kesäkaduille. Näyttely pitää sisällään niin veistoksia kuin performansseja. Näyttely aukeaa Helsinki-päivänä 12.6. ja on nähtävissä pop up viikon viimeiseen päivään 16.8. saakka.

“Piknik-kori on hukkunut, vettä sataa taivaan täydeltä ja mansikkarasian pohjalle on ilmestynyt homekerros. Ihana piknik on veistos joka juhlistaa kaikenlaisia piknik-hetkiä luoden hedelmällisen keitaan Matti Heleniuksen puistoon. Sadepäivinä vesi muodostaa pöytäliinaan lammikon ja synnyttää siihen pienen lintualtaan..”

“Inspired by the pantographs of Helsinki’s trams, 9 evokes the presence of an underground ghost tram cruising beneath the streets of Kallio. By placing the pantograph structure at ground level, the work reimagines the urban surface as a boundary where industrial steel and natural tree trunks reach up to connect with the city.”

“I worked two weeks on this platform on a concrete sculpture, which I wasn’t able to finish. During mixing the concrete with water, I would get interrupted every five minutes or so, and asked if my water bottles were empty and ready for taking to the return. It became clear to me that the people in this location need empty bottles as much as they need art; I want to thank all of the locals for our conversations on both. Since I still have this platform, I will be dropping all of my empty bottles here for the whole summer. “

“The most beautiful thing about the streets of Istanbul is it´s owners, CATS! Every neighborhood has it´s own cat colonies, the more you spend time in the same place, the more close you get with it´s cats. In this work, there are several riso-printed images that were taken during March 2026, the pictures of the cats who still exist and roam around the streets of Istanbul.. Their pictures and glory will be in the streets of Kallio too.”
