Passage of time – a multidisciplinary concert of contemporary music
A concert by Clay Collective, a contemporary music collective inspired by the ceramic art of Mari Paikkari. The program consists of solo works by composers Wilma Pistorius and Anna Hakula, as well as a multidisciplinary ritual composed by Hakula and based on the collective’s earlier performance ”Resonating Space”. The performers are Maija Anttila (bass clarinet), Suvi Eloranta (dance and voice), Iida Hirvola (cello and voice), and Helena Holm (blockflutes), who will be playing the ceramics by Mari Paikkari besides their own instruments. The theme of the concert is woven around the passing and stopping of time.
