Being inspired by the meditative traditions, especially singing and chanting in monasteries, I am searching for (sonic) forms which create a space of being, without doing, performing, or even the thought of linear time or time passing by. Instead, the focus is on presence, perception, and awareness. I call these spaces sonic sanctuaries.
The musical idea is to move from performative music-making to listening-based music-making. I am reluctant to call this happening a concert, as it is not about producing or executing something. It is a joint sonic space.
