Trickles flows delves into the profound connections of life, transformation, and the transient nature of existence through the lens of fluids and submerged realms. In Vapaan Taiteen Tila, artists, artwork and interactions come together to explore diverse aspects of death, cyclicality, mourning rituals, and collective experiences and seek potential alternative attitudes towards these weighty themes.

 

Despite the mortifying nature of death and its emotional impact, the exhibition attempts to navigate beyond mere seriousness. Tears of sorrow, laughter, and metamorphosis converge into a singular drop that symbolizes the essence of human experiences – one that trickles and leaks from every individual, be it in the mundane daily routines or joyous celebrations.

 

Trickles Flows at the Vapaan Taiteen Tila from August 4th to August 13th, 2023. The exhibition organized an open call to artists through the Academy of Fine Arts’ email.
